You can adjust your train schedule to arrive in Cusco earlier (depending on train availability), depending on the activities you choose, with prior coordination.
Your day starts early with a pick-up from your hotel (or other agreed location) in Cusco by our friendly and professional driver. Ensure you have your essentials packed, including your passport, tickets, water, snacks, and a light jacket for the early morning chill.
Enjoy a comfortable and scenic drive to Ollantaytambo train station, which takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. On the way, you’ll pass through the stunning Sacred Valley, with its picturesque villages, rolling hills, and farmlands.
Board the Expedition Train at Ollantaytambo for a scenic journey to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). The train ride offers spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the surrounding Andes Mountains. Relax and enjoy the comfort of the train while you sip on a complimentary hot beverage and snack. You'll meet your guide and prepare for the short bus ride up (25 minutes) to the Machu Picchu site.
After rigorous check the admission booth, begins our unique experience in life, we are facing this amazing world heritage monument.
Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, embark on a 2-hour guided tour of this ancient Incan citadel. Your expert guide will share the fascinating history, significance, and mysteries of Machu Picchu, exploring key areas like the Sun Temple, the Room of the Three Windows, and the Intihuatana stone. This will depend on the circuit you chose, so remember to book in advance.
Board the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Take this time to relax and reflect on the incredible sights you’ve just experienced.
Depart from Aguas Calientes on the Expedition Train, heading back to Ollantaytambo. Enjoy the scenic ride as you retrace your steps through the Sacred Valley. Arrive in Ollantaytambo and transfer to your waiting vehicle for the journey back to Cusco (San Francisco square or your hotel).

We booked the four-day Salkantay tour to Machu Picchu and it was a wonderful trip. At the briefing the evening before we started, we found out that there would only be three of us in our group. The whole tour was accompanied by our guide Elio, who was able to answer every question and took care of everything. He even organized an earlier train for us to leave Aguas Calientes and then a private transfer to our hotel in a city other than Cusco. The private chef is also there. In our case, it was Sergio. His food was better than that of most of the restaurants we had eaten in in the three weeks in Peru before our hike. Our horse man who accompanied us was extremely courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name. We would book the tour again straight away and can give it five stars. Thank you for the wonderful days

Excelente trekking. Hay muchas agencias que lo ofrecen pero pocas que lo operan realmente. Nosotros lo hicimos con ITEP InkaTrail. Estuvieron a la altura de las circunstancias. El guía Percy mostró conocimiento del lugar y capacidad de resolución de adversidades. Los cocineros de excelentísimo nivel y una capacidad de trabajo excepcional. Lo recomiendo sin dudas. Es dificil y la altura es el principal escollo. Evitar época de lluvias.

Realice la ruta del treking al salkantay de 4 días y 3 noches . El servicio es completo y tal cual lo detallan. La vista de los paisajes son únicos . Destaco el El profesionalismo y conocimiento del guía turístico ( Percy Lanza) quién estuvo muy atento a todas nuestras necesidades y resolvía nuestras dudas y consultas.
